The golf course at Bogor Raya, Indonesia, sits well into the jungle and mountain landscape of its natural surroundings.
Paul Jansen, of Jansen Golf Design & Construction, has been part of the team that has delivered R&A sustainability seminars in China, Thailand, Japan and South Korea over the past 18 months.  He promotes sustainable golf course design and construction, with strong views on the length of courses, excessive bunkering and the use of ground contours to add interest and drainage capacity.

Paul has recently completed a grand tour of southern Asia, visiting golf clubs across the region that reflect the character of Asia and aspects of sustainable development and management.  Moving on from previously reported Sri Lanka, Paul travelled through India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.  You can follow Paul’s journey of discovery here.
